Fiber-to-the-Home ISP Division Startup
2016–Present
Concho Valley Electric Cooperative
Role: Lead
Built a new broadband business division from scratch — business planning, central office design, fiber network architecture, federal grant acquisition, and operational launch inside a rural electric cooperative.

This work started as a blank-sheet business buildout, not a technology refresh. I was responsible for shaping the business case, defining the operational model, and turning a rural cooperative’s interest in broadband into a real service line with an executable plan.
From there, I led the practical work: central office planning, fiber architecture, equipment selection, vendor coordination, and the systems needed to run a service provider day to day. That included translating utility realities into ISP processes that could scale without overbuilding the team.
The result was an operational FTTH division focused on serving rural communities that were historically underserved. The project tied together planning, infrastructure, funding, and execution instead of treating them as separate efforts.
