Developed a custom network monitoring and management system with alphanumeric paging notifications — providing real-time alerts for network events before modern monitoring platforms existed.

Before modern observability stacks were standard, I built an in-house monitoring system tailored to the provider network. It collected device state, watched for failures, and pushed alerts out through the notification channels available at the time, including alphanumeric paging.
The value was speed and control. We could monitor what mattered to our environment instead of forcing operations around generic tools that were not built for it.
